Living not far away from Richmond we have a local celebrity, James Fortune. I would hope by now that a few people in the area know of James, but for those who don’t…I’m gonna tell you. To James Fortune’s credit you’ll find album covers, photographs and posters of some the most famous rock and roll icons ever. James Fortune, photographer of the stars, is who we are talking about and he lives in nearby Hanover, Virginia. James is the real deal and he’s getting ready to tell the stories of his days in L.A. as a freelance photographer for the major record labels. Where is he going to tell these stories? Of course, here at his blog site at Classic Rock Vids.
James doesn’t really have a lot of time to spend on his blog or any of his other sites for that matter. I mainly run this site and his daughter runs his other site. There is a link further down the page to Fortune’s site so you can see more of his photos. I see James about twice a month and we sometimes meet at a local book store to obtain a little knowledge. We meet there because we browse the new rock and roll books and magazines for his photos. Many of his photos have been purchased for one time or more usage in books and magazines, but occasionally we run across those that have been copied and used illegally. We will continue this thought in our next article post and I’ll tell you where James and I are heading to look for his photos again.
